FT11 - Enolmaster & Enolmatic Filter Options

  • £13000

The FL02 vacuum fillers are available with various straining / filtration options and it is important to consider which is most appropriate for any given application.

A common misconception is that you can easily filter a cloudy product en-route to the filling machine. This may work up to a point, but because there’s only very limited ‘suck’ provided by the filler, as soon as filters start to block the filling will slow down then stop, which is inconvenient, and less economical (the filters are not used to their full capacity). Also, the stop/start flow rate is less than ideal for efficient filtration, leading to an inconsistent product.

We recommend that products are prefiltered tank-to-tank to the required clarity and stability BEFORE attempting to bottle, then all that’s required is a simple mesh strainer to guard against foreign bodies (e.g. glass, hairs, cardboard fragments) during bottling.

If a product is essentially clear enough to bottle but there is an occasional risk of sediment or haze, then a cartridge filter is recommended, typically a 1-micron ‘depth’ filter. We offer 5-inch or 10-inch housings with readily available DOE (double-open-ended) cartridges to fit.

We do offer the Italian ‘Tandem’ housings, but these are expensive, use insecure hose connections, and take cartridges with a special length and fitting style. The cartridges are also not readily available in the UK, and lack good quality control and traceability data. We can supply these cartridges or UK-made alternatives, but it’s usually better to switch to our UK alternative housing system.

Filling machine not included

Enolmaster filter options come with all stainless steel triclamp connections, clamps and gaskets to fit the inlet of the machine.

Enolmatic filter options can be fitted using the inlet hose provided with the machine. The hose will need to be cut into two pieces and fitted each side of the filter housing using hoestails provided on the filter.
